“I just can't say enough about how great Courtney and her staff have been. After years of battling with a mold problem that put me in the hospital and made my son very sick we had gone the conventional route taking everything out of the house including the carpet. We had a team come in and wiped down the entire house and fog it. It was improved, but we still had symptoms and had to fog every week or two. This route was very time consuming and very expensive. One of my friends who had helped me diagnose what the problem was to begin with, his job involves dealing with mold and he recognized my symptoms, put me in touch with Courtney. She came in and did her method of killing the mold. Since she has done it, we have no symptoms. We don't even run our air cleaners anymore. We were running seven. The way that she kills the mold really gets everywhere and is very effective. I wish I would have gone with her right away. I highly recommend her method and believe it works better than anything else out there.”

“Courtney from Pure Maintenance was awesome! I was completely ignorant about mold and when I found out we had a mold issue I was horrified and had no idea where to even begin. Pure Maintenance was recommended to me and I'm so glad as they made the process of mold remediation so straightforward and easy. On her first visit, Courtney walked me through the science side of things and was able to accurately find and diagnose the source of our mold problem. I have a child with asthma so I was eager to act as quickly as possible--Courtney was able to squeeze us into her schedule the same week which was great for my peace of mind. She was able to treat our house in one day: we left home in the morning with a mold problem and returned home after work to a mold-free home. And of course the science backs it up! Courtney shared detailed results of before and after treatment and the facts speak for themselves. It can be so difficult to find professionals that you trust to do work in your home, especially with an issue as serious and delicate as mold remediation. I would absolutely recommend Courtney and Pure Maintenance without hesitation. They delivered the promised results quickly and without hassle which is the best I could ask for. Thanks again Pure Maintenance!”

“Wow, What a difference in the air quality. We bought our house a few years ago and had mold and we didn't know what to do about it. I kept trying different things and nothing seemed to work. Finally, I got a hold of Pure maintenance figuring why not I've tried everything else. She explained the mold differently than anybody else had before...that It travels through the air and that we had to get rid of the source of the problem first. She found the source and took some mold readings which were high. We followed her instructions on how to fix where the water was coming in, she came and treated our home. It took a bit on our part but it was woth it because the problem went away after her treatment. Not like anything we tried before, which never worked. It's so different in here. No more mold smell every time I walk into the house. I have new hardwood floors that I can now smell them. And we just feel so much better, as far as our health. We couldn't be more appreciative. I wish we were called Pure Maintenance to begin with. Thanks Courtney! Mary”

You've scrubbed the grout, recaulked the surround, tried every mold spray on the store shelf, and left the fan running for hours at a time. A few days later the dark spots are back, and a week after that you're doing it all over again. Shower mold keeps returning because most of it isn't on the surfaces you can actually reach. It's rooted behind the tile, under the pan, and deep inside porous grout, and the good news is we can destroy it in a single visit without tearing your bathroom apart.

When you need shower mold removal

Once you're cleaning the same shower more than about once a month, surface cleaning has stopped keeping up. Other signs worth paying attention to: grout that stays dark no matter how much bleach you throw at it, caulk that turns gray a few weeks after you replace it, a musty smell that sticks around even after the room has dried out, and any soft or spongy patches on the wall near the surround. Madison showers have a rough time from both ends of the calendar. Summers on the isthmus get sticky, with the lakes pushing dew points into the 60s and 70s for weeks at a stretch, and the long heating season keeps the house sealed tight from October through April, so steam from every hot shower has nowhere to go. A lot of older homes on the near east and near west sides, along with the 1920s bungalows up in Tenney-Lapham and Marquette, have undersized bathroom fans, or fans that vent into the attic instead of through the roof. Every shower you take soaks the grout and works its way behind the tile into places a scrub brush will never see.

Our shower mold removal process

One thing that surprises most of our customers: our vapor treatment doesn't work on the shower in isolation. It treats the whole bathroom, and usually the whole house, in a single visit. Pure Maintenance's patented antimicrobial sterilant fills the air and reaches places a sprayer or brush can't get to: behind the tile, into the wall cavity around your plumbing, under the shower pan, and deep into the grout. While it's working in there, the same treatment handles spores that have already drifted into other rooms or through your HVAC. After that we apply a second protective coating that bonds to surfaces and makes it much harder for mold to come back in a damp environment. Most jobs are finished in a day, and you can use the shower normally once we leave.

Shower mold removal cost in Madison, WI

Because our vapor system treats the whole bathroom or home instead of only the shower, you usually get more thorough work for about the same price as a tile cleaner or handyman who has to keep coming back every few months. Add up what you've already spent on sprays, caulk and your own cleaning time over the past year, and the numbers usually line up in your favor. Pricing depends on whether we're treating one bathroom, part of the house, or the full property. We inspect first and give you a written upfront quote before any work starts. No hidden fees and no surprise charges at the end.

Why choose Pure Maintenance Wisconsin

Shower mold is the problem homeowners try to handle themselves the longest, because it looks like a cleaning job. It isn't. Our vapor system has been independently lab-tested, and we guarantee your indoor mold levels will come in lower than the air outside, or we come back and retreat for free. We live and work in the Madison area, including Verona, Middleton, Sun Prairie, and Waunakee, and we can usually get out same-day when we have openings. While we're on-site we'll point out what's feeding the moisture in the first place, usually a fan issue, a basement pushing damp air up through the house, or summer humidity that's running higher than it should, so you know what to fix next.

Stop scrubbing the same shower every month and hoping it sticks this time. Call Pure Maintenance Wisconsin at 608-555-0199 for a same-day inspection and an upfront quote, and we'll handle the mold you can't see.
